Product Introduction—Zinc Oxide

Product Features

Zinc oxide is a white powder, widely used in rubber, medicine, chemical industry, light industry, electronics and other industries. The specific uses are as follows:

  • In rubber manufacturing, it is an indispensable additive for the rubber and tire industries and one of the raw materials for rubber manufacturing. In addition to the vulcanization effect, zinc oxide can greatly improve the thermal conductivity of rubber, thereby helping the heat dissipation of tires and ensuring driving safety. The addition of zinc oxide also prevents mold organisms or ultraviolet rays from eroding rubber, making the rubber surface smooth;
  • In the coating industry, zinc oxide has coloring power and hiding power, and is also a preservative and luminescent agent in the coating;
  • In the medical and health and food industries, zinc oxide has deodorizing and antibacterial functions, so it is often added to cotton fabrics, rubber, food packaging, etc. Zinc oxide added to food not only has a certain antiseptic effect, but also can be used as a zinc source to supplement the essential zinc element for the human body.
  • In the ceramic industry, zinc oxide is used as a flux;
  • In the glass industry, zinc oxide can reduce the sintering temperature of glass, shield potentially harmful ultraviolet rays, and make glass products self-cleaning;
  • In the electronics industry, zinc oxide is both the main raw material of varistors and the main additive for magnetic, optical and other materials.
